Absolete RFC for e-mail signing/verification as a new feature?

I can't understand why Plesk is using a absolete RFC 4870 (historical DomainKeys) for e-mail signing and not a actual RFC 4871 (DKIM) (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4871.txt) for it?

I suggest to use RFC 4871 for signing and both RFC's (4870 and 4871) for verification of e-mail signatures.
