For once I'm not wanting to be one of the first upgraders!!!!
Has anybody had a trouble free upgrade using the CP updater from 8.01 to 8.1?
Will be especially interested in Fedora 3 users and any SQL issues.

So far I've done the upgrade on Fedora Core 3 and on CentOS 4. Both upgrades seem fine except for the DNS recursion problem I reported here: http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?threadid=38279

We have a fairly new CentOS 4.3, Plesk 8.01 install. Just a couple clients and domains. Did the upgrade through the Updater. Failed the first time:
Hostname check failed. Autoinstaller will try to continue installation without hostname checking.

Other than the new advertising that got added that everyone's complaining about, seems to be working ok.

There is some stuff on there about Virtuozzo and they are trying to kinda stuff it in your face to purchase this software.
Other than that, I would advise AGAINST upgrading at this time.

So you are saying do not upgrade?

Well, when I upgraded, it had broken my horde webmail application. I am also seeing a lot of threads here of people complaining about issues they have ecountered after the upgrade as well.
I think it would be wise to stay with 8.0.1 right now if you can.
